Web Standards Compliance
This site has been built to be compatible with the standards set down by the W3C, the organisation which governs good design practice on the internet.
The W3C has stated that web technologies "must be compatible with one another and allow any hardware and software used to access the Web to work together". This means that sites built in accordance with web standards should look the same whatever the viewing conditions: whether the user is on a mobile phone, laptop or PDA etc.
To see whether web sites comply with these standards, the W3C has developed HTML and CSS validators. These automatically check the code of a website, to see whether or not a page validates.
You can check jd-works's HTML here, and CSS here.
