Bit of a U turn on our previous thinking... everyone we've spoken to up to now had been telling us how good San Diego is so we thought we'd try it out for a couple of days. Two hundred and fifty miles later, and here we are.
Checked into possibly the worst hotel we've stayed in on this trip last night, and were only too pleased to move to a different part of town where we're staying tonight (Mission Bay). Spent the day improving the tan on the beach: weather seems to be perfect right now and we even have some waves so will be breaking out the surf board tomorrow.
Not sure how long we'll be staying here, but probably for the next couple of days. There's a free barbecue and keg tomorrow night which sounds too good to put behind us!

Just on the suject of your trip home can you let us have the flight number to check arrival times etc this end--- remembering that we have to get up at some unearthly hour!! Never mind you're worth it!!
